You don't see too many little boys with their ears pierced, but according to Jillian Michaels, there's no reason they shouldn't be allowed to sport earrings if they want to. Michaels posted an adorable candid snap on Instagram of her four-year-old son Phoenix last week, excitedly capturing his new jewelry. Her explanatory caption reads, "The little man works on his selfie skills. And yes, he got his ears pierced. His sister got hers pierced and he wanted his done. I wasn't about to say, 'that's for girls.'" Boom.
Michaels officially wins the coolest mom ever award in our book. (If you need another reason to love her, she told us all about how she wanted a margarita ASAP at a recent cover shoot.) It looks like little Phoenix chose some totally on-trend black and gold studs for his first pair, and we've got to say, they look pretty awesome.
While there are many different parenting methods, we really appreciate Michaels' open-minded approach. She's never been one to let societal pressures affect the way she and fiancee Heidi Rhoades raise Phoenix and his sister Lukensia. In this video, Phoenix can be seen wearing nail polish because, why not?!
Michaels has been quoted before saying that kids shouldn't be on any specific workout plan or schedule, but that doesn't mean that hers aren't super active. In a particularly cute video, she recorded her kids' excitement about the Olympics, asking other parents if theirs were as into the Games as hers are.
It looks like Phoenix attempting is a one-handed push-up, which makes a lot of sense considering who his mom is. Like mother, like son definitely applies here.
