Even celebs need a little boost every now and then.

If you ever doubted that celebs are just like us, take a look at Katy Perry. True, she's a Grammy-winning superstar, but she's also spoken out about what it's like to go to therapy and just generally keeps it real with silly throwback Instagram posts like this one. It's safe to say she's one of the more relatable female celebs out there, and she has every reason in the world to be totally confident. One of her recent posts, however, revealed that she sometimes feels the need to remind herself of how awesome she is.

After posting a couple of makeup-free, relatively silly photos, she shared a screenshot with the caption: "Was feeling insecure about my last two posts so..." The capture shows a Google image search with the words "Katy Perry hot" and a photo of the singer looking, well, hot. So yeah. KP definitely Googles herself when she's feeling off her game. As a side note, the screencap also reveals that she really needs to charge her phone, like ASAP. (BTW, here's why selfies might not be such a bad thing after all.)

While not everyone can just search their name and type "hot" after it for an instant self-esteem boost, it's totally refreshing to know that even celebs sometimes need a little nudge to remember how great they are. Plus, when you think about it, this trick is totally adaptable for non-famous people. If you ever needed a reason to post a photo of yourself looking AMAZING, this is it. Then, you can refer back to it whenever you're feeling less-than-awesome (we all have those days!). And if you're not totally comfy posting that favorite picture of yourself, keep it on your phone so you can pull it up whenever you need a hit of confidence. (FYI, getting professional head shots is one of these super smart ways to get confident, no therapy required.)
