Itsines said she hardly knows how to describe the life-changing moment. "I just stared into Tobi's eyes the whole time during delivery, nervously whispering 'please let her be healthy, please be okay, please be okay' and Tobi kept repeating 'I love you so much - she's going to be healthy it's okay just breathe it's okay.' We both were crying," she wrote.
She joked that Tobi "went into 'Dad mode'" within moments of delivering their baby girl. "From someone who made jokes the whole 9 months about not being able to change a diaper ... to now not wanting to let ANYONE change her because he wants to help - has made me love him even MORE," wrote Itsines.
The trainer said her baby is in "absolutely perfect" health, though she wound up having a C-section at her doctor's recommendation. "I was a little bit sore, but after a couple of days I was generally fine, just no lifting other than Arna. Now, I just need to rest, eat good food, drink lots of water and I'll be okay!" she shared. Even though Itsines posted this intimate photo of her newborn girl, it's worth noting that she's been clear about how much she'll share of her daughter moving forward. A couple of weeks ago, Itsines said in an Instagram post that she doesn't plan on becoming a mom blogger after she gives birth, simply because she wants to maintain a healthy boundary between her work and personal life.
"This could change in [the] future but right now I'd like to say that [sharing photos of my daughter is] not something I want to be doing on a regular basis," she wrote. "My focus OFFLINE as always, is my family. Which is why I will not be posting frequently about my daughter," she added. Regardless of how much Itsines chooses to share with the world about her new bundle of joy, the most important thing is that she and her family are happy, healthy, and safe. "I feel so BLESSED right now," Itsines shared. "We are so in love and happy. Holding her for the first time in our arms was truly the best day of our life."
