Prince Harry and Meghan Markle just tied the knot in May, but fans across the globe have been anxiously waiting for royal baby news. In fact, rumors have been swirling for weeks that Markle might be pregnant. Just last week, the Internet had a field day when the royals showed up to Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank wedding wearing a rather concealing Givenchy coat. (

Well now, the secret is out! Kensington Palace took to Twitter earlier this morning to reveal that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are in fact expecting their first child together in the spring of 2019. "Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public," they wrote.

Turns out, the royal couple had already shared the news with their family, at Princess Eugenie's wedding at Windsor Castle. While neither Prince William and Kate Middleton nor the Queen have commented on the news, a royal spokeswoman said that Doria Ragland, Markle's mother, was "very happy about this lovely news, and she looks forward to welcoming her first grandchild." (

The 37-year-old duchess has not been seen in public since Kensington Palace announced the exciting news-but it won't be much longer until we catch a glimpse of the expecting mom, considering she just landed in Australia for a 16-day tour of the country and the South Pacific region. The couple arrived this morning from London and should make an appearance at some point this week.

We'll be updating this story as more information becomes available.
