The tennis star (finally!) announced her new daughter's name and shared home videos of the pregnancy that will give you all the feels.
The U.S. Open may have just come to a close, but tennis fans still have something to be excited about. Serena Williams just posted the first photo of her new daughter nestled into her chest on Instagram—and finally announced her name: Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., the same name as her father and Williams' fiancé, Alexis Ohanian.
The tennis legend also shared a video montage of her pregnancy journey that will give you all the feels. It starts from the beginning, with an ultrasound and clips filmed throughout the pregnancy. The video closes with a clip of baby Alexis shortly after she was born on September 1, wearing tiny socks and sleeping soundly.
Back in April, Williams (accidentally) announced her pregnancy on Snapchat, initiating a collective jaw-drop over the fact that she had been 10 weeks pregnant when she won the Australian Open.
A few months into her pregnancy, Serena penned a touching note to her unborn baby: "My Dearest Baby, You gave me the strength I didn't know I had. You taught me the true meaning of serenity and peace. I can't wait to meet you. I can't wait for you to join the players box next year." Judging from Williams' serene expression in her photo, she must have been just as happy to meet Alexis as she thought she'd be.
