Tess Holliday Reminds Us That Moms of Every Size Deserve to "Feel Sexy & Desired"

"Fat women as moms are robbed of our sexuality, so I'm here to tell you to stop that sh*t."

Plus-size model Tess Holliday has been fighting for body positivity ever since Facebook banned a photo of her saying it "depicted the body in an undesirable manner." Previously, she's bashed the hotel industry for catering to smaller guests and even boycotted Uber after being body shamed by her driver. Now, she's getting personal yet again, taking to Instagram to share an empowering pep talk for fellow moms.

"Gentle reminder to myself that as a mom, I deserve to feel sexy & desired," she captioned the sultry selfie, adding her signature #effyourbeautystandards hashtag at the end. "Fat women as moms are robbed of our sexuality, so I'm here to tell you to stop that sh*t."

Within hours, her post racked up more than 37,000 likes and her followers were 100 percent behind her message, flooding her post with positive comments. "One day postpartum with my second baby and I totally needed this," one fan wrote. "Thank you for modeling self-esteem and self-love. You have helped me have confidence," said another. (

Holliday later took to Twitter sharing the same message, continuing her fight against the ridiculous beauty standards women are expected to live up to.

Thank you, Tess, for being a welcomed reminder for why the #LoveMyShape movement is so important.
