Top tip: “Start sweating. Make a commitment to break a sweat five days a week for a minimum of 20 minutes. And when I say break a sweat, I mean where you need to change your clothes after training. Pick something that you enjoy (running, kickboxing, swimming, hiking, biking) and ask yourself, 'Am I giving it my all?' A good measure is to feel like you are between a seven and nine on a scale of one to 10 as far as your exertion levels.”

Go-to move: “I am a believer in a heavy overhead barbell press (with great form!). Any overhead work taxes your entire body and fires up those hormones that help attack core fat and promote hard, lean muscles,” she advises. “Start with a bar that feels heavy after 10 reps. Top tip: “Sleep! Seven to eight hours of sleep every night is essential to cut stress and allow your body to recover. Also cut out the sugar! It acts as a toxin, will inhibit your metabolic rate, and you'll torch calories with nutrient rich foods.”

Go-to move: “I love the single leg teaser with a twist. It works your entire core. Hold a 5- to 10-pound weight to increase the intensity. Lie face up on ground, with your arms extended behind your head, palms up. Engage your abs to sit up as you sweep arms out to your sides, bringing the bent left knee in toward your chest and rotating your torso to left. Then reverse motion back to start. Top tip: “Include strength training in your workouts. It’s essential for women of all ages and abilities, as it builds muscle, boosts metabolism, alleviates back and neck pain and burns tons of calories. Women especially should weight train regularly to increase bone density and defend against osteoporosis. And if you’re a high-stress gal, nothing beats a good weight training workout to let off some steam.” 

Go-to move: “Try this wall push exercise to keep your chest perky in your bikini! Stand facing a wall with your feet hip-width apart and your toes about one to two feet away from the baseboard. Place your hands flat on the wall at chest height, wider than shoulder-width apart. Bend your elbows to lower yourself into the wall, keeping your whole body straight. When you’ve come as low as you comfortably can, extend your arms and push yourself away from the wall to return to the start.” More about Simone here.

Top tip: “Incorporate jump roping. By keeping your body moving, you will still burn calories, tighten your core, and keep your body in shock. My recommendation is once you’re done with your first rep of sit-ups (or whatever move you may be doing), jump 50 times, then go back to your second rep. Repeat until you’ve completed your target goal and continue jumping once you transition into a new exercise.”

Go-to move: “The move that I use with almost all of my clients to get them bikini booty ready is called the shoulder bridge You start by lying on the floor on your back with your feet placed flat on the mat directly underneath the knees. Lift your pelvis up and place your hands directly under your hips. Reach one leg up to the sky while keeping your toe pointed. Flex your foot and slowly bring it down to its original position, trying to keep your leg as straight as possible on the way down. Repeat five times then move to your opposite leg.” More about Nonna here.

Top tip: “In order to get a body in bikini shape, I have clients do more cardio to shred a few pounds and tone their body. I also recommend eating more Beta-carotene rich foods like carrots, mangoes, oranges, peaches, and cantaloupe to give them a nice glow. And eat asparagus, it’s full of fiber and water to reduce bloating.”

Go-to move: “I love the medicine ball slam. Grab a medicine ball and hold it above your head. Reach back as far as you can, forcing you to do a triceps extension, then slam the ball forcefully to the floor in front of you, contracting your abdominal muscles at the same time. Top tip: “Stay hydrated! Your body and muscles are made up of 75 percent water. Not only does water carry oxygen and nutrients to your cells, and flush toxins, but also it helps you burn more calories. Ideally, you should be drinking half your body weight in ounces. So if you are 130 pounds, you should be drinking 75 ounces of water per day.”

Go-to move: “The combination of spinning and yoga is really my favorite. Spinning cannot be beat, as you are getting cardiovascular work and burning fat while building muscle, changing the ratio of stored fat to lean muscle mass. I pair that with lengthening, balance, and strengthening yoga postures and I have the booty to show for it. I feel completely empty and open at the end of my routine.” More about Mandy here.

Top tip: “Stay away from white, processed, and refined foods. If it comes in a box and has it's own commercial, it will likely bloat you. Also, focus on intensity. You'll get more toned and lean for your effort with high intensity, shorter bursts of activity like jump rope, sprints and bounding type movements. Not only will you sweat hard, you'll be using the muscles that show off your bikini body!”

Go-to move: “Any move that requires the upper body and legs simultaneously. It puts the needed resistance on the core to challenge the muscles enough to tone them. I also love the med ball, because it provides the weight necessary for the challenge.” More about Andrea here.

Go-to move: “I love the martial arts-inspired sprawl. This is the best exercise for bikini-ready abs. Begin standing with your feet together on a mat. Squat down, placing your hands on the mat and under your shoulders to support your body. Jump your feet back to form a wide V, while your stomach and chest touches the ground. With weight on your hands, jump your feet back into a squat, and then stand up. Repeat this move 10 times.
