Now that I've lost quite a bit of weight, shopping with my friends is so much more fun—I can find things in every store at the mall, not just the plus-size ones. But while I've been trying on lots of pretty summer dresses, it's been hard for me to actually purchase any. I still have a way to go until I reach my goal, and I don't see the point of buying new things which will (hopefully!) be too big for me in a couple of months. But after tightening my belt on a baggy pair of pants, I checked out my reflection in the mirror and realized I don't need to wait until I get down to a size 8 to look my best. So I hit the stores and found a few flattering, not-too-expensive pieces. Wearing clothes that fit my current figure is a way of celebrating and rewarding myself for all the hard work I've done so far.
