Hilary Duff Just Nailed a Polarizing Activewear Trend
She's loving a Nike workout bodysuit.
Turns out Serena Williams isn't the only one who loves a Nike catsuit moment. Hilary Duff has joined the fan club and shared one of her latest activewear finds: a Nike Sportswear Women's Jumpsuit (Buy It, $70, nike.com)
Duff posted a photo to her Instagram Story of herself modeling the bodysuit from her usual #ootd spot. "Found a new work out outfit! Meow," she wrote on the photo. She also went with a fun footwear choice, sporting Nike React Element 55 sneakers (Buy It, $140, net-a-porter.com) which have a yellow snakeskin print. Bodysuits aren't the most approachable style of clothing, so if you usually play it safe fashion-wise, you probably haven't given much thought to working out in one. But as far as one-pieces go, Duff's pick is on the wearable side. With a deep V-cut neck and black stretch-jersey fabric, it's far from the magenta lycra suits of the '80s. (Even Lizzo is feeling the bodysuit trend.)
The Nike jumpsuit is also easy to layer when you want to be less flashy, which Duff proved while out and about. She wore hers with a leather jacket and tied a shirt around her waist. The overall result had more of a shirt-and-leggings feel. At the other end of the spectrum, the jumpsuit has real night-out potential. (Related: I Worked Out In a Bodysuit—and It Wasn't Terrible!)
If you've been on the fence about the bodysuit trend, might as well take a cue from Duff and give them a try. Her sleek black Nike suit seems like the ideal entry point.
