People with wide feet know the sneaker struggle all too well: You see a hyped-up pair that promises comfort, breathability, and ultra-cushy goodness, but once you try them on, you can barely get your toes in. And while more brands are finally catching on and offering wider options of classic running shoes, these iterations don't seem to go on sale as often. That's why it's exciting to see that Amazon's best-selling pair of women's cross-training shoes from New Balance is discounted in all wide sizes right now.

With more than 30,000 perfect ratings, the New Balance FuelCore Nergize Sneakers (Buy It, $55, was $65, amazon.com) have become popular among avid walkers thanks to their joint-friendly cushioning, ample arch support, and ultra-light feel. Made with an airy synthetic mesh exterior, the shoes were designed for performance with a snug, bootie-like fit on the upper and a stable heel that's meant to keep ankles secure (if you prefer more room, the brand recommends buying a half-size larger.)

The midsole combines a plush memory foam lining with New Balance's signature REVlite padding, which is designed to absorb shock and produce a responsive bounce with every step. Even with all of the comfortable padding, these sneakers remain lightweight — just over half of a pound, according to the brand — and customers with wide feet say they love the fit and feel. One shopper said the sneakers "fit perfectly" and were comfortable "right out of the box," adding that the wide toe box and fitted heel kept their "cantankerous feet happy" even after wearing them a full day. Another person said they were surprised by how well the sneakers fit right away, adding that "the comfort of the foam was amazing" but wasn't so thick that they "couldn't feel the ground." For high-performance sneakers that won't squish wide feet and don't have a "bulky look," according to one wearer, head over to Amazon while these best-selling cross-trainers are still available for 15 percent off.
