If you didn't know Donald Trump's campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, before January 20th, you definitely know her for the patriotic color-blocked ensemble that garnered quite the social media reaction on Inauguration Day.
That social media reaction wasn't largely in her favor. So, naturally, she took advantage of an interview and profile with Hollywood Reporter to defend her outfit choice with a: "sorry to offend the black-stretch-pants women of America with a little color" soundbite. [Insert screeching tires sound here.]
Hold up—did she really just insult black stretch pants? And worse, shame the women who wear them?
The kind of pants that Ronda Rousey wears when she trains and looks like a total badass.
The kind of pants that gold medalist and Olympic champion Aly Raisman rocks on the daily.
The kind of stretchy pants that the #ShapeSquad wears to work every day in the name of #fitness.
Come on. We all know that stretchy black leggings rock. And some black stretchy pants look just as good—if not better than—regular pants. Plus, the range of motion is *incredible.* Last time we checked, jeans can't do this.
And def not this.
No matter what you think about politics, can we please just agree to leave leggings out of it?
