The perfect soundtrack for pedaling out of the city and spending some quality time in the saddle

Cycling in the city requires a level of focus that doesn't always mix well with music. But if you have access to a trail or park, the combination of tunes, fresh air, and speed can be totally invigorating.

Most riders will find that songs with 140 beats per minute match their pedaling pretty closely so this playlist focuses on songs around that tempo. Try a few to see which speed best suits your riding style, or if you're feeling ambitious, pedal through all ten to replicate the sort of interval workout you'd find in a spin class-but with much better scenery.

Paramore - Still into You - 137 BPM

Blondie - Call Me - 142 BPM

Pitbull & Christina Aguilera - Feel This Moment - 137 BPM

Britney Spears - Toxic - 143 BPM

Jonas Brothers - Pom Poms - 148 BPM

Paul Simon - Kodachrome - 134 BPM

David Guetta, Ne-Yo & Akon - Play Hard - 130 BPM

Bruno Mars - Locked out of Heaven - 146 BPM

Billy Idol - Cradle of Love - 144 BPM

Juicy J, Wale & Trey Songz - Bounce It - 140 BPM
