9 Beertails to Help You Celebrate the Super Bowl

A fun take on a classic beertail, this super simple combo from Eben Freeman, head bartender and bar manager at GENUINE Liquorette in NYC, features a can of ginger beer with a mini of rum in it. Plus, it's the king of beertails for lazy—er—busy people. (P.S. Have you heard of fitness beer? It's a thing.)
1/2 ounces lime juice
1 can ginger beer
50 milliliter bottle Ron Zacapa rum (or any dark rum)
Lime wedge for garnish
Directions: Open ginger beer can. Use citrus reamer to extend mouth of can. Pour out 1 ounce of soda in can and add in lime juice. Insert straw and inverted bottle of rum. Garnish with a lime wedge sitting on the side of the can.
Refreshing lager cuts down on some of the spice in this amped up beertail from Tequila Don Julio. Warning: not a good idea to wash down your buffalo wings with this!
3/4 ounces Tequila Don Julio Blanco
1/4 ounces Green Pepper Jalapeño Hot Sauce
1/4 ounces Agave Nectar
3/4 ounces Fresh Lime Juice
6 ounces Lager
Pinch of Celery Salt
Lime Wheel for Garnish
Directions: Combine Tequila Don Julio Blanco, green pepper jalapeño hot sauce, agave nectar, lime juice and celery salt into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well. Strain contents into a highball glass over ice. Top with lager. Garnish with lime wheel.
"This drink incorporates the classic, dry bitterness of Campari with the low alcohol grapefruit Radler," says Chris Hopkins, bartender at Sweet Liberty in Miami Beach. And as for the funky name? "It's derived from the addition of an Italian aperitivo which makes for a gangster way to drink Radler, named for the famous Mobster that is credited with starting Las Vegas," explains Hopkins.
3/4 ounces Campari
8 ounces Stiegl Radler
Directions: Pour Campari into Pilsner glass. Top with Radler.
Green Tea Goji Berry Brew
Pioneer of the beertail, Euclid Hall in Denver doesn't mess around with their concoctions. The trick? Homemade, healthy ingredients paired with craft beer on tap, like this recipe from bar manager Chris Sage. (There are Healthy Reasons to Be Drinking Beer.)
1 cup unsweetened pomegranate juice
1/2 cup loose green tea
1/2 cup dried goji berries
1.5 ounces CapRock Colorado Organic Vodka
1.5 ounces goji berry-pomegranate-green tea syrup
0.25 ounces fresh lemon juice
8 Second Elevation Kolsch
Directions: For the syrup, bring one cup un-sweetened pomegranate juice to a boil, add 1/4 cup sugar. Simmer for ten minutes. Remove from heat and add 1/2 cup loose green tea and 1/2 cup dried goji berries and steep until cooled, about 20-40 minutes. Strain through fine mesh strainer. Next, shake vodka, syrup, and lemon juice together and strain into an iced Collins glass. Top off with 8 Second Elevation Kolsch. Garnish with goji berries.

3 ounces cold-brewed coffee
.5 ounces Bourbon
.25 ounces tempus Fugit creme de cacao
1 ounces sugar
.25 ounces lemon
2 ounces Lindeman's lambic framboise
2 fresh raspberries
Directions: Shake and fine strain cold brew, Bourbon, creme de cacao, sugar, and lemon juice into a coupe. Top with 2 ounces Lindeman's lambic framboise. Garnish with 2 raspberries.
This refreshing Full Moon beertail is served up at the Poolside Café at The Ritz-Carlton, Naples beach resort for those looking to cool down, but it has year round appeal for any thirsty palette.
1 ounces Zaya Rum (12 year)
.5 ounces Chambord
1 ounces Blue Moon beer
Splash of orange juice
Splash of cranberry juice
Directions: Mix an ounce of Zaya Rum with half an ounce of Chambord, an ounce of Blue Moon beer and a splash of both cranberry and orange juice.
3/4 ounces Saint Germain Elderflower Liqueur
1/4 ounces fresh lime juice
8 ounces Unibroue Ephemere Apple Beer
6-8 Cilantro leaves
Directions: In the bottom of the glass, muddle 6-8 cilantro leaves with 1/4 oz. fresh lime juice and 3/4 oz. Saint Germain Elderflower Liqueur. Top with Unibroue Ephemere Apple Beer.

1 ounces fresh lemon juice
Allagash White Beer
Directions: Add Aperol, lemon juice, and ice to pint glass, fill remainder with Allagash. Garnish with lemon wheel.

2 ounces Tanteo Jalapeño Tequila
3/4 ounces Fresh Lime Juice
3/4 ounces Agave Nectar
3 Basil Leaves
Pacifico Or Corona Light
Directions: In a mixing glass muddle blackberries, basil, lime and agave. Add ice and tequila. Shake and strain into a beer style glass over ice. Top with beer. (Go with Corona Light if you want to save on calories!)
