Remix your same-old smoothie recipe with the addition of tequila for a healthier way to booze

Have you ever made a tropical smoothie, say with some banana, pineapple, and a little coconut milk, and thought to yourself, "Man, this would be even more delicious with a little rum in it"? Yeah, no judgment here. Luckily, you don't need to choose between a calorie-loaded frozen piña colada or boring virgin daiquiri to satisfy your craving.

This San Marcos Smoothie holds a secret boozy ingredient-tequila, but it also has your standard healthy smoothie ingredients such as banana and coconut milk, so you don't need to feel too guilty about indulging. (If you're eyes lit up at the thought of a spiked smoothie, then just wait until you see these alcoholic slushies.) Just as with your morning blend, banana offers up some blood pressure stabilizing potassium, as well as filling fiber. Coconut milk lends its naturally sweet flavor, which is elevated thanks to a little Frangelico. (P.S. Use that extra coconut milk to make this Paleo Fruit and Coconut Milk Chia Seed Pudding.)

So soak up what's left of the season with this boozy smoothie cocktail that tastes as good as that sounds. (Serving the drink inside a fresh coconut is totally optional, although totally awesome.)

1 whole banana

2 oz. coconut milk

1 oz. tequila

0.5 oz. Frangelico
