Cap off the unofficial end of summer with a healthy cocktail recipe that tastes like a million bucks

By now you know we like our cocktails, and we like 'em healthy. We've been sipping on this Cachaca cocktail recipe you've got to try, a quince cocktail recipe that every happy hour is missing, and a dark chocolate cocktail that should be the ending to all your meals.

The latest concoction from bartender James Palumbo of Belle Shoals Bar in Brooklyn, NY has a little bit of something for everyone. If you like your drinks a little sweet and tropical, you'll get your wish with some dark rum. Prefer a slight bite to your cocktail? The mixture is topped with ginger beer for a nice carbonated kick. But for those of you who, like us, are in the mood for a blend that is both boozy and healthy, you'll love that this recipe includes the antioxidant powerhouse that is pomegranate juice.

Pomegranate juice is one of the top 20 artery-cleansing foods as it increases the production of nitric oxide, which helps keep blood flowing and arteries open. The tart juice also helps fights breast cancer thanks in part to its polyphenols and vitamin C. "Dozens of lab and animal studies show that pomegranates may halt the spread and recurrence of the disease," says Lynne Eldridge, M.D., co-author of Avoiding Cancer One Day at a Time.

So stir, shake, and pour this healthy cocktail recipe at your last outdoor cookout and wave goodbye to summer feelings like a million bucks.

Million Bucks Cocktail

Ingredients

1.5 oz. Cruzan dark rum

0.5 oz. Frangelico

0.5 oz. lemon juice

0.5 oz. pomegranate juice

Ginger beer

Directions

1. Combine rum, Frangelico, lemon juice, and pomegranate juice in a shaker with ice.

2. Shake vigorously and strain over ice into a Collins glass.

3. Top with ginger beer and garnish with mint
