Apothic Wine just launched a brand-new red wine called Apothic Brew and it's infused with cold-brew coffee. (Yes, you read that right.)

The concoction was naturally inspired by everyone's undying love for cold-brew coffee. "Last year during the long hours of harvest, I joined the cold-brew craze myself," Deb Juergenson, Apothic winemaker said in a statement. "Quickly, I realized that many of the characteristics in cold-brew coffee and red wine naturally complement each other. This led us to experiment with a few blends, eventually leading to the seamless creation of Apothic Brew, which brings together red fruit notes and subtle mocha essences of cold-brew." (P.S. Here's Why You Should Ditch Your Iced Coffee for Cold-Brew)

That being said, don't get too excited if you're all about the caffeine buzz. Even though Apothic Brew is indeed infused with coffee, it contains less caffeine than a cup of decaf. So if you're just looking for the comforting flavor of coffee while relaxing with a glass of red, the Apothic Brew is for you. (Did you know there's such a thing as clear coffee too?)

While you won't be able to get your hands on this unique blend until April 1, we had a chance to experience it beforehand. Despite a noticeable coffee aroma, the Apothic Brew tastes mostly like a sweet red wine, probably thanks to the hints of chocolate and copious amounts of blackberries used to create it. (If that sounds good, you're going to want to learn how to make red wine hot chocolate.)

The limited-edition release has 13.5 percent alcohol by volume and definitely has the characteristics of becoming a go-to. You won't be disappointed.
