Milk and sugar are overrated.

Newsflash: If you're still drinking regular coffee, you're doing it wrong. Between avocado lattes, cannabis-infused coffee pods, and clear coffee (yes, that's a thing), the internet is doing some interesting things to your favorite morning beverage-and the trend isn't slowing down anytime soon. Next up: Glitter coffee.

Dubbed the Diamond and Gold Cappuccino, this blingy new drink is made with edible glitter and was created by the Australian company Coffee By Di Bella. It's prepared pretty much like a normal cappuccino with a double espresso topped with steamed milk foam. A small spoonful of edible rainbow glitter is then drizzled over the beverage to give it its signature shine.

Unfortunately, these beverages have yet to make their way to the States. But if you're thinking about recreating these treats, it's worth noting that just last year, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a warning against the use of "decorative non-edible food products." In the statement, they advised people to avoid using glitter in their foods regularly-so we definitely don't recommend downing copious amounts of this stuff.
