This Chocolate Matcha Cocktail Will Be Your New Favorite Dessert Drink
This recipe puts an antioxidant spin on the classic chocolate martini.
With this smooth and sweet matcha cocktail, you'll never need to choose between a dessert and a nightcap again. This recipe is a rich, chocolaty adult beverage with a hint of mint, and here's the twist: It gets an antioxidant boost from matcha green tea powder. The matcha blends well into the crème de cacao-a sweet chocolate liqueur-and the peppermint schnapps gives the martini a minty kick. If the chocolate-mint combo wasn't already a win, throwing a bit of shaved chocolate on top makes this drink even tastier.
To make it, all you need to do is throw four ingredients plus a handful of ice into a blender, give it a whir, pour it into a martini glass, and shave a bit of chocolate on top. If you don't have a blender on hand (or prefer your cocktails smooth instead of blended), you can mix the drink with ice in a shaker or opt to drink it on the rocks.
Whichever way you choose to whip up this matcha cocktail-shaken, blended, or stirred-you'll have a boozy dessert you can sip in two minutes flat. (Another creative way to drink matcha? This iced lavender matcha green tea latte recipe.)
