Apple fritter yogurt: Yes plz.
Last year brought us Dunkin' donut-inspired sneakers, Girl Scout cookie–flavored Dunkin' coffee, and #DoveXDunkin'. Now Dunkin' is starting off 2019 strong with another genius food collaboration. The company has teamed up with Yoplait for new Dunkin'-inspired yogurt flavors.
Yoplait launched four new flavors based on Dunkin' classics. There's apple fritter, which, according to Yoplait, "offers warm apple notes and delicious glazed donut flavors" (uh, yum). Also in the way of donuts, there's Boston kreme donut, which we're picturing will taste like eating straight up donut filling with a spoon. The other two flavors are Yoplait Whips, so they have a lighter, fluffier texture. There's cinnamon coffee roll and French vanilla latte, the yogurt-coffee hybrid we never knew we needed. Disclaimer: These aren't healthy alternatives to Dunkin's menu items. Per nutrition info on Instacart, the Boston kreme flavor has 24 grams of sugar per serving. That's 7 grams more than the amount of sugar in a Dunkin' Boston kreme donut. Likewise, the cinnamon coffee roll flavor has 23 grams of sugar, which is a hefty chunk of the 25 grams the American Heart Association recommends for added sugar per day for women. So while these yogurts undoubtedly have 100x more flavor than, say, plain Greek yogurt, keep this nutritional tradeoff in mind. Dunkin' may have dropped the "Donuts" from its name (R.I.P.), but thankfully it doesn't seem to be otherwise distancing itself from their baked goods. The new flavors are already out, BTW, but they're limited edition, so head to your grocery store soon if you want to give them a taste test.
