Wonderland

In a classic nod to the power of makeup, Taylor Swift recently ditched the liquid liner she's known for on the cover of Wonderland. In its place: fuller, defined brows, and a bronze flush. She looks like a totally different person! If you're feeling inspired to up your brow game-and change your look entirely-here is what you'll need to know.

1. First, brush ‘em up. Before you start the grooming process, comb brows upward with a spooley brush (or head to Sephora counters for the unused mascara wands!). This fanned out effect makes it easier for you to pinpoint any uneven hair length, so trimming is a breeze.

2. Choose the right brow tool. Try one with a slant-tip because they can really grip the teeny-tiny hairs without painful pinching. We like Tweezerman Slant Tweezer ($22; tweezerman.com).

3. Work with what you've got. Swift wasn't born with bold brows, so if you weren't either, fake it. Fatten up sparse or light hairs with a fiber-filled tinted gel, like Maybelline Eye Studio Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara ($8; maybelline.com), to give the appearance of fuller brows instantly. If you have thick, bushy brows (lucky you!), simply polish your look with a clear gel to tame hairs into place. Try Anastasia Clear Brow Gel ($22; anastasiabeverlyhills.com) or check out some of the makeup in The Best Fall Beauty Products for Fall.

4. Give eyebrows an instant lift. Trace a pale pink liner pencil along the underside of your arches, then smudge out the line. Lightening the surrounding area helps highlight the shape, so brows look lifted and more defined. Our pick: Benefit High Brow ($20; benefitcosmetics.com).
