The DIY Lip Balm You Can Make with Just Two Ingredients
Making this all-natural balm couldn't be easier.
By now you're probably aware there's a DIY tutorial for every skin, hair, and cleaning product known to (wo)man, but don't overlook experimenting with natural makeup too. This DIY balm is so simple and we promise it won't turn out to be a failed science project. It contains just two ingredients: dried flower petals and rosebud salve. And the resulting balm is an all-natural multipurpose tint that you can use to give your lips or cheeks a subtle wash of color. (Check out these perfumes if you love the smell of flowers.) Use it to fake a post-run flush or to moisturize and color your lips. (And when you're ready to take it off, use this DIY makeup remover.)
Here's how to make it:
1. Using a mortar and pestle, grind a handful of dried flower petals into a powder.
2. Pour the powder through a fine-mesh sieve to eliminate any chunks.
3. Add 0.8 ounces of rosebud salve to the powdered petals.
4. Mix until completely smooth. (Heat the mixture on low if it's not fully incorporating.)
