Beauty Hailey Bieber and Miley Cyrus' Joint Makeup Tutorial Is a Must-Watch Bieber was one of the latest guests on Cyrus' new Instagram Live talk show. By Renee Cherry Published on March 23, 2020 Share Tweet Pin Email For better or for worse, celebrities have been getting creative with their content while remaining quarantined during the coronavirus pandemic. Case in point: Miley Cyrus wasted zero time in launching Bright Minded, an Instagram Live talk show. So far, she's interviewed the likes of Demi Lovato, Amy Schumer, and Lauren and Cameron from Love Is Blind. It's prime viewing, to say the least. In her latest episode, Cyrus hosted Hailey Bieber, who gave viewers a rundown of her going-out makeup routine. Yes, watching "going out" makeup tutorials might feel weird since we've reached the point that virtual "quarantine parties" are a thing. But at the top of the show, Cyrus said she simply wanted to give everyone something fun to do while they're stuck at home. So, if you have time to kill and a drawer full of makeup, Cyrus and Bieber have you covered. (If makeup's not your thing, here are the self-care items Shape editors are using at home to stay sane under quarantine.) Bieber delivered the details on her typical off-duty look. Whether she's grabbing dinner, drinks, or going out for a date night, she said she always keeps her makeup routine quick and simple. "I still don't feel like I'm the type of person who is that good at sitting in the mirror for 45 minutes and doing a full [makeup look]," Bieber told Cyrus (#relatable). Having already done her face makeup off-camera, Bieber started with her eyes. The model, who's an ambassador for BareMinerals, reached for the brand's Gen Nude Rose Eyeshadow Palette (Buy It, $29, ulta.com). She applied three shades using a fluffy brush, creating a subtle shadowing. She applied BareMinerals Gen Nude Powder Blush (Buy It, $24, sephora.com) then used BareMinerals Barepro Glow (Buy It, $29, ulta.com), a liquid highlighter she uses "all the time," she shared. Bieber then completed the look with BareMinerals Gen Nude Patent Lip Lacquer (Buy It, $20. ulta.com). The tutorial turned out to be a twofer, as Cyrus shared some key steps in her makeup routine as well. While Bieber loves a natural look, Cyrus isn't so toned down, which should come as a shock to no one. "I have a different approach; I try to overdo everything," Cyrus joked. "My approach to life is: overdo it. But that's because my role models are Ru Paul and Dolly Parton, so that does not involve being very low-key." ( Hailey Bieber Served Some Real Talk About the Mental Toll Social Media Can Take On You In this case, "not being very low-key" means a bright red lip. Specifically, Cyrus layered a red lip gloss from her previous collab with MAC on top of Nars Velvet Matte Lipstick Pencil (Buy It, $27, sephora.com) in the shade red square. For her eyes, Cyrus used Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow in Space Cowboy (Buy It, $22, ulta.com) and MAC's previous eyeshadow palette with Jeremy Scott.
