Here's how to do it: Start with damp hair. Cut an old t-shirt into long, one-inch-thick strips. Tie the first strip around a small section of hair at the root (the smaller the section of hair, the tighter the curl will be). Then, wrap the hair around the strip of cloth until you get to the end. When you reach the end, begin to wrap the cloth back over your hair so that it completely covers your hair. When the two ends of the strip meet at the top, tie a knot. Repeat over your entire head. (If you have thick hair you may need to use up to 16 strips.)
Leave in for at least two hours to lock in the style, or sleep with hair wrapped overnight for a tighter, long-lasting curl. After untying your strips, apply mouse to curls to avoid frizz, then gently part using your fingers for a more natural look. (P.S. Here's How to Embrace Your Natural Hair)
