Kayla Itsines recently shared a transformation post—but it wasn't of someone who completed her Bikini Body Guide program. In her Instagram Stories, the Aussie fitness influencer shared closeups of her face from before and after she switched up her skin-care routine, and the photos speak for themselves. Alongside the pics, Itsines wrote that when the "before" photo had been taken, she'd felt upset and embarrassed by her acne. Her pimples even made her skin feel "sore," she said. But once she found the products that worked for her complexion, she felt much more comfortable with her skin. Now, she's sharing her go-to skin-care picks with the rest of her BBG fam.

Itsines follows a six-step skin-care routine, which she credits for "transforming" her skin. To cleanse, she uses a face wash and two tools. She likes Cetaphil Oily Skin Cleanser (Buy It, $20,, an affordable foaming cleanser. For manual exfoliation, she uses both an Envy U Skin Activated Charcoal Loofah (Buy It, $14, and the Foreo Luna 3 (Buy It, $199,, a silicone facial cleansing tool. Once she's cleansed, Itsines treats her skin with Germaine de Capuccini Hyaluronic Force Serum (Buy It, $33,, a hydrating serum with hyaluronic acid. Then she layers on La Roche-Posay Toleriane Sensitive Crème (Buy It, $18,, a moisturizer containing prebiotics that's meant to save sensitive skin from stinging, dryness, and tightness. Her final step is Drunk Elephant Shaba Complex Eye Serum (Buy It, $60,, which contains copper peptides, an ingredient with potential anti-aging benefits like reduced inflammation.

Another part of Itsines' skin maintenance: She tries her best to avoid potential aggravators while she's working out. The trainer posted a list of "gym rules" that she lives by, which includes washing her hands after touching equipment, using her own mat and towel, and avoiding touching her face. (Touching equipment at the gym and then your face can mean spreading bacteria.)

TBH we're not mad that Kayla took a break from workout content to drop some skin-care knowledge. Here's to hoping the next BBG program is a special skin-care edition.
