Lea Michele already had quite the pampering routine in 2019. (That bath shelf, though.) Still, she's aiming to switch up her beauty products this year as part of one of her New Year's resolutions. Her goal is to transition to using natural products this year, and she's shared her initial progress on Instagram.

"Coming into 2020 I have challenged myself to swap as many products in my home to all-natural products," Michele wrote in an Instagram Story. "This means I'll eventually transition all of my cleaning products, makeup, and beauty products to non-toxic chemical-free." Footnote: "Natural" beauty products are made using plant-derived ingredients and no synthetics, and "non-toxic" products are free from ingredients that have been associated with a toxic response in humans. Companies sometimes use "chemical-free" to signal that a product doesn't contain harmful chemicals, but every ingredient (including natural ones) is technically a "chemical," so beauty products are never literally chemical-free. Back to Lea Michele's resolution. Rather than making a Marie Kondo-style overhaul, she's introduced a few new staples as her starting point. She posted some of her new favorites in a series of Instagram Stories, calling out the advantages of each.

First up, shower products. Michele has joined Kourtney Kardashian, Miranda Kerr, and Emma Watson in the Rahua fan club. The Glee alum is using the natural hair-care brand's Classic Shampoo (Buy It, $34, sephora.com) and Voluminous Conditioner (Buy It, $36, sephora.com). Both products contain rahua oil, a centuries-old means for strengthening and nurturing hair. Michele's also loving The Honest Company Shampoo + Body Wash (Buy It, $10, target.com), a 2-in-1 that's intended to be mild enough for babies. For body lotion, Michele has been using a product that's been all over Instagram. If you haven't used it yourself, you've likely still seen a bottle of Nécessaire The Body Lotion (Buy It, $25, nordstrom.com) featured in at least one flat lay or #shelfie. Striking packaging aside, the lotion contains moisturizing ingredients like marula and jojoba oils, as well as niacinamide, which helps to lock in moisture.

Michele also featured a face product in her natural beauty roundup: Ursa Major Fantastic Face Wash (Buy It, $28, dermstore.com). The foaming gel combines AHAs and soothing ingredients like blue tansy oil and aloe. It's both natural and free of parabens—which have a bad rap with the clean beauty crowd—so it should easily check Michele's boxes. (Related: Lea Michele Shares Her Genius Healthy Travel Tricks)

For being only 23 days into the new year, Lea Michele seems to have made a lot of progress toward her goal. At this rate, she'll know all the best clean beauty finds in no time.
