The fitness influencer and trainer is the face of CoverGirl's new Active line.

Fitness influencer and trainer Massy Arias is well-known among her 2.5 million Instagram followers for being a total beast in the gym. She also joined the CoverGirl team as an ambassador last year-proving that being a badass athlete and rocking a full face of makeup are not mutually exclusive. Now, fittingly, Arias is the face of CoverGirl's Active Collection, a high-performance line of sweatproof, humidity-proof products that have been "torture tested" to last through your entire day (workouts included). The collection includes a volumizing mascara (available now), an oil-free foundation with SPF, a cooling setting mist, and a high-impact liquid eyeliner (launching in January).

We spoke to Arias about the products and treatments in her anti-acne, anti-aging skin-care routine (including the drink she makes every morning for glowing skin), how she's teaching her daughter self-love through her beauty rituals, and the sweatproof makeup item she never go a day without.

She follows a strict anti-acne skin-care routine.

"I used to have not the greatest skin and struggled with blemishes. Over the past few years, I've really taken care of my skin and it's made such a big difference. The most important thing for me after I'm done working out (whether I'm wearing makeup or not) is to always wipe my face with coconut oil or jojoba oil. I also exfoliate once a week to make sure that I'm getting rid of dead skin, and I sleep on a silk pillowcase-it does wonders for my hair, wrinkles, and it doesn't strip your skin of moisture. I change that every other day, I clean my phone on a regular basis, and I make sure that I don't sleep with my makeup on."

She never leaves the house without this makeup item.

"I never leave the house without mascara, it's a must, especially now that my hair is short. Plus, I love my eyes, so it's my favorite part to accentuate. It goes on smooth, it looks very natural, it's not clumpy, it stays on when you sweat, and you can take it off easily, unlike a lot of other waterproof mascaras that are really hard to remove. She uses her beauty routine to teach her daughter self-love.

"Cutting my hair was so much more than just a beauty decision. Growing up, I never watched TV and saw women that I could relate to. Even in Hispanic TV, you tend to only see the lighter Hispanic and Latinos-and you never saw women wearing their real hair. So for me, this is more than just an all-natural hair movement. This was for my daughter Indi and leading by example and showing her that I'm confident in my skin. Once a week, we do our hair together and I let her touch my hair-that's our bonding time. She believes wearing makeup to the gym shouldn't be taboo.

"I really like to look natural-my go-to routine before the gym is a little concealer under my eyes, a little highlighter on my nose, and my mascara. Having a toddler, sometimes I don't sleep enough and need to cover my dark circles. If I'm shooting, I'll use foundation-the CoverGirl Outlast Active 24-Hour Foundation has SPF 20 which is great for when I'm working out outside since it never rubs off or oxidizes. Then I'll use a mist to lock it in, a little highlighter, an extra coat of mascara, and lip gloss. I really do feel like as a true feminist, I'll never look down on a woman for wearing makeup at the gym. Women can be catty and put each other down, when we should really be saying, Hey, you wanna wear makeup? Wear makeup! You don't wanna wear makeup? Don't wear makeup! At the end of the day, do what makes you happy."

She always starts her morning with this DIY drink.

"The best thing you can do to treat your skin from the inside out is water, so I increase my water intake when I feel like my skin looks dull-you can tell when your skin is suffering because you're not hydrated. You're 80 percent water, drink up! I start my day with 8 ounces of water mixed with a quarter teaspoon of cayenne pepper, 1 teaspoon of organic turmeric powder, 2 teaspoons of raw honey, and 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar. You can also take an apple cider vinegar capsule-I made my own because people always complained about the taste of vinegar. It's great for your immunity, for healthy, glowing skin, for water retention to help prevent bloating-it really energizes and detoxes, and can help with fat burning too.

She's obsessed with this anti-aging skin-care treatment.

"For the past year, I've been going to see a woman that does acupuncture and acufacials-it's like cupping for your face and neck. It stimulates collagen which over time really helps with fine lines and wrinkles. It leaves your face with this rosy glow and makes your skin look plumper. I love it. It's relaxing, too-you feel really pampered, it's not painful. In between sessions, my jade roller also does wonders!
