Four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka added "skincare brand founder" to her impressive resume when she successfully launched Kinlò in the latter half of 2021. Featuring products made specifically for those with melanated skin tones, the new line uses natural ingredients (like green tea and jojoba seed oil) in its range of hydrating and protecting sunscreens, oils, balms, and mists.

The name Kinlò is a combination of the Japanese and Haitian Creole words for "gold" — kin and lò, respectively — nodding to Osaka's heritage. And while it's a deeply personal project for the tennis star, the brand is also supported by a range of top skincare experts. Dr. Naana Boakye, founder of Bergen Dermatology, is one of the dermatologists who helped Osaka create products that blend into all skin tones and block both indoor and outdoor UV rays. Like any professional athlete at the top of their game, Osaka didn't stop with just one winning moment. The entrepreneur recently announced an impressive expansion: Kinlò's sunscreen and after-sun products will now be available in 2,500 Walmart stores across the United States. This power move is in line with Osaka's original vision for her brand: to "educate others about proper sun protection, no matter what they look like or where they live."

In a press release, Kinlò's president, Mia Meacham, noted that the expansion allows the team "to bring high-quality products formulated with natural ingredients at an accessible price point to millions of people around the country." Every product in Osaka's line, including the brand's hero and new products, is under $15.

For those looking for the perfect all-in-one sunscreen, Kinlò's Always Golden Daily Moisturizer with SPF 40 acts as both a moisturizer and a universal skin tint. Alternatively, the Golden Rays Tinted Sunscreen SPF 50 is a mineral-based, non-chemical sunscreen that comes in three shades (light, medium, and deep) and doesn't leave the dreaded white cast common with other SPF products.

Because suncare doesn't stop after you're safely away from UVA and UVB rays, the Kinlò line also includes a Hydrating Golden Facial Mist and a Cooling Body Gel Moisturizer, which use skin-soothing ingredients like aloe vera, glycerin, and hemp seed oil to aid in skin recovery after sun exposure. (
