Olivia Culpo has her travel routine down to a science. She's come up with a foolproof system for packing her suitcase and has found workouts she can do when she's away. She packs her cosmetic bag with a lineup of essential beauty products. Lately, that's included an intriguing facial mist: Barbara Sturm Hydrating Face Mist (Buy It, $81, nordstrom.com).

The sudden change in pressure and recirculated air in planes tends to cause dehydration, so Olivia uses the mist during and right after flights. "The hydrating mist is really important for me when I'm traveling," she tells Shape. "I mean, immediately when you take off on a plane, you can feel the moisture being sucked out of your skin. I just use it throughout the flight and when I land. I feel like my face is literally thirsty and it just drinks it all up." If you're not taking regular flights, you might be more interested in the mist's alternate use, according to Olivia. "I'll also use it as a setting spray if I'm doing my makeup," she says. (

If you're not already critical when selecting facial mists you should be since some formulas that contain alcohol can dehydrate your skin further. Not so with Olivia's pick, which contains hyaluronic acid, one of the most highly-praised ingredients in skin-care for preventing moisture loss. Dr. Sturm incorporated two weights of hyaluronic acid (HA) in the mist, a lower-molecular-weight HA which is able to penetrate the skin more deeply, and a higher-molecular-weight HA which to retain moisture closer to the surface. Besides hyaluronic acid, the mist also contains purslane, an herb with anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

If Dr. Sturm's name is ringing a bell, you've probably read about a slew of other celebs showing her love. Kim Kardashian, Hailey Bieber, Emily Ratajkowski and many others have shouted out her products. Bella Hadid even credited Dr. Sturm for "changing [her] skin forever." (

Hot tip: If you're looking to try out Olivia's favorite specifically, it's on sale right now at Nordstrom. Yep, you can save future you from dehydrated skin and save a little money in the process.
