From the looks of her flawless complexion, you might assume Priyanka Chopra Jonas has always followed a killer skin-care routine. But it hasn't been the actor and producer's number one priority from the get-go. “My mother told me I should, but I was much more focused on makeup as a teenager," says Chopra Jonas. "I’d wear a full face every day, and I didn’t always take it off before bed."

A lot has changed.

“Having good skin is my biggest confidence booster, and washing my face at night is a must,” says the former Miss World. But the cleansing ritual does more than keep her skin clear. “It marks that moment when I don’t have to be on anymore,” she adds. (In the morning, she turns to this healthy habit.)

Skin care is such a part of Chopra Jonas’s life that she partnered with Obagi to launch its Skinclusion campaign. “Obagi is a brand that tests its formulas on all skin tones. This focus on diversity is important to me,” says the 37-year-old, who describes its Professional-C products as game changers and swears by the firming effects of the brand's Eliastiderm Facial Serum (Buy It, $198, dermstore.com). For red-carpet appearances, she adds a few extras. “The night before, I sleep in an overnight mask. Before the event, I sculpt my face with ice cubes to minimize pores and then apply a sheet mask. After that, I’ll do a bold mouth or a bold eye,” she says.

Besides her beauty routine, Chopra Jonas has a few other guaranteed mood shifters: reading and then watching books that become movies (“like the one I’m filming, The White Tiger”), binge-watching Queer Eye (“It’s uplifting!”), and spending time with her family, husband, and friends (“I’m at my happiest when I’m with them”).
