From serums and toners to exfoliants and spot treatments, your beauty cabinet is likely chock-full of lotions and potions. While you've read plenty of articles and watched your fair share of Instagram videos, remembering the exact order of application for both your a.m. and p.m. skin-care routine is no walk in the park. Sound familiar? Then you might want to take a page from Serene Williams' book and occasionally make things a little simpler for yourself with these little patches.

In a recent Instagram story, the tennis GOAT gave fans a peek into her "nighttime beauty routine," which essentially just involves peeling off some packaging and sticking a patch mask onto her face. In the now expired Story, the athlete, mom, and entrepreneur placed two glittering gold patches under her eyes and one larger patch on her forehead. And then came the best part: She revealed she got the beauty treatment from Amazon — aka regular folks can buy them!

While she never revealed the exact brand of the forehead and eye patches she used, you can find similar options on the mega retailer's site including these Matykos 24K Gold Forehead and Under-Eye Patches (Buy It, $17, amazon.com).

These gel patches feature a range of good-for-your-skin ingredients, such as hyaluronic acid, and grapeseed extract — both of which work together to hydrate and soothe the skin on the forehead and under your eyes. Each box comes with 15 under-eye patches and 15 forehead patches — a total of 30 stick-on skin saviors for just $17. What's more, they also contain collagen and vitamin A, a type of retinol, two superstar ingredients that are known for their plumping and anti-aging effects. And this is especially beneficial for those looking to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on their forehead, explains board-certified cosmetic dermatologist, Michele Green, M.D. (

And Williams isn't the only one who's loving the skin-smoothing effects of these gold masks. Fitness influencer Emily Skye also posted an IG Story of herself covered in gold stick-on masks with the caption, "barely any sleep again, so I'm totally ready for day 1 of filming!!" Skye was actually on the right track, as these patches, under the eye, specifically, can be particularly helpful right before an event — and it's all thanks to the transdermal application of these anti-aging ingredients.

"Skin-care patches are typically designed with a sophisticated delivery system to release the active ingredient(s) into the skin," says Dr. Green. "The product is absorbed from the patch, through the outer layers of skin, and [ultimately] into deeper layers for full efficacy." Because of this quick absorption of ingredients, results are usually immediate, delivering a temporary plumped-up look with typically less than 30 minutes of wear. (
