Sara Shakeel is known for creating captivating works of art that celebrate the female body in all its perfectly imperfect forms. Recently, she used her artistic abilities to transform stretch marks in a stunning new photo series she shared on Instagram. (Related: This Woman Is Transforming Her "Flaws" Into Works of Art)

Sara is photoshopping gold glitter, a blue galaxy, and shiny crystals on to her stretch marks to encourage people to embrace their own imperfections.

"I have never felt so powerful & liberated and so f**king proud of my stretch marks in my entire life," she wrote alongside one of her creations. "From where I come from, to be on the chubby side or to even talk about stretch marks is not something one is proud of."

"I have seen my stretch marks grow from the day I started putting on weight," she said. "[I'll] be honest even before uploading [them] I was thinking [about] why [anyone would] be interested in my concept of [turning] stretch marks into glitter or crystals. My God, I was so wrong! Women are already doing such an amazing job representing these stripes and cellulite."

"Support and love yourself for whoever you are," she says. "[Because] there is someone out there sharing the same feelings as you are...One [thing's] for sure: You are not alone."

Accepting your body is easier said than done. A few years ago, my body was full of cellulite. I used to be disgusted at how much cellulite I had. But, with patience and determination (and a lot of research!), I managed to almost eliminate it. All it took, was the right exercise program and a way to manipulate estrogen metabolism.
