Now that we know how wine can help us lose weight, it's time to pair it with everything – even our favorite candles. Yup, get ready for fall with the new Yankee Candle Wine Pairings Collection. How does it work? Apparently the candle-makers at Yankee have discovered that certain scents go with different types of wine better than others. If you're serving fish, you might want an apple-scented candle and some white wine, while steak is a much better fit for a fig-scent and some red wine.

Here are some of the pairings:

Apple and Candied Walnut

Sliced apple and warm candied walnut make a fragrant harvest platter. Pair it with a Riesling.

Fig and Black Currant

A complex scent of fig and black currant with hints of cedar and citrus pairs best with a Spanish Garnacha.

They each even come perfectly packaged in a stemless wine glass, which makes us even more obsessed. So, who is ready for the most tranquil happy hour ever?
