Kohl's, Old Navy, Walmart, and Target have already announced their discounts.
It's officially November, which means three things: (1) Halloween candy is on sale, (2) it's acceptable to play Christmas music (don't @ me), and (3) it's time to start strategizing your holiday shopping. The third is easier said than done since Black Friday is no longer a one-day ordeal. Luckily, we've done all the work for you. Here's your guide to all the holiday sales you should shop now, and which sales are worth holding out for. (Also check out the activewear that Shape editors are buying from Shopbop's massive sale.)
When Is black Friday 2018?
Technically Black Friday is November 23 this year. But it's no longer necessary to freeze your ass off on Thanksgiving night to get first dibs on the deals. As the sales start earlier and earlier every year, Black Friday and Cyber Monday are morphing into a Cyber Month. So while Black Friday is still 22 days away, some of the sales have already started. (More on that below.)
Black Friday vs Cyber Monday—which is better?
Now that Black Friday sales are basically bleeding into October, it’s harder to know exactly when the best time is to strike. Should you do all your shopping on Black Friday or do better deals come to those who wait? As a general rule, Black Friday you’ll see deep discounts on big ticket items like electronics, and Cyber Monday you’ll see more sitewide discounts, according to Real Simple. That said, there's more and more crossover and some stores have begun to offer presale deals that rival their Black Friday doorbusters. (ICYMI, Sephora's 2018 VIB holiday sale has already begun.)
What are the best Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals?
