This wide selection of feminine skirts, tops, and dresses in an equally wide range of sizes will make your wallet cry tears of joy.
Lauren Conrad is expanding her repertoire once again. The new mom, who's previously designed maternity wear and beachwear, just launched her third limited-edition runway capsule. And the best part? The girls night out collection called "Downtown Glam" will include plus sizes for the first time ever.
The collection offers sizes from XS to 3X with plus-size options beginning at 0X and features floral dresses, shimmering skirts, crushed velvet off-the-shoulder tops, and statement jackets. The pieces are definitely geared toward the fall and are priced from $12 to $154, similar to some of Conrad's other pieces at Kohl's. While this particular capsule is limited-edition, plus sizes will be a permanent part of the brand's future. (Related: Lauren Conrad's Trainer Spills Her Workout Secrets)
LC Lauren Conrad is just one of several brands becoming more size inclusive, which is important considering the average woman in America wears a size 16. Nike and Target have already hopped on board the body-positivity train with their plus-size activewear and swimsuit lines—and Ashley Graham's SwimsuitsForAll collection made waves last year along with Zendaya's new body-inclusive clothing line.
It also helps that designers like Tim Gunn have blasted the fashion industry for treating plus-size women as "complicated," and showcases like the New York Fashion Week runways are slowly becoming a home for bodies of all shapes and sizes.
