Shop All Plus Size Workout Clothes

Plus-size retailer Fullbeauty.com just launched a beautiful line of activewear with Woman Within, and we're obsessed with the fun colors and smart designs on all of the items in the 20-piece collection. No-chafe seams, non-rolling waistbands, and flattering color-blocking are just some of the awesome features in this line. The line offers sizes 12-32 and retails for under $65, so it's a total steal! (Because, as Melissa McCarthy's New Fashion Line Proves, "Women Do Not Stop At Size 12".)

Juno Active

Juno Active specializes in women's plus-size activewear, so they've perfected that mix of fit and function in their pieces. Cyclists will love their quick-wicking bike jersey (pictured above) and padded bike shorts. They also do apparel for other sport-specific activities, like tennis, so you can gear up for whatever activity you're into!

Soybu

Soybu uses design tactics like ruching and wrapping in their plus-size collection to create styles that will flatter your curves and get you moving in style (how cute is this striped jacket with ruching?). The small Denver-based brand is stocked in smaller boutiques, but you can also find them at big retailers like Kohl's.

Xersion by JC Penney

You're probably more likely to pop into JC Penney for a new set of sheets than you are for a new pair of sneakers, but Xersion, their line of workout clothes, is as good of a reason as any to make the big retailer your next fitness shopping spot. The budget-conscious line, which comes in 1X, 2X, and 3X, as well as standard sizes, wears just as well as performance clothing three times the price (read: these pieces will be in your gym clothes rotation for years to come). The brand makes simple staples you'll love, but also does fashion-forward items with trendy touches like space-dying, ombre, and motivational graphic tees.

Marika

Yogis will love the plus-size section of popular yoga brand Marika. They do loose, flowy yoga tops, tunics, and sweaters so well, you may never want to leave savasana. Their pieces are understated without looking boring, and their yoga pant selection will solve whatever gripe you have with your current black pants. Choose from a skirted pair of capris, slimming high-rise crops, high-waisted tummy control leggings, extra long pants, and just about any other specialized black yoga pant in between.

Old Navy

This attitude-driven tee from Old Navy has hidden super powers: It uses Do-Dry technology to wick sweat away fast. Tanks and tees from Old Navy's plus-size activewear is designed to fit more snugly at the top for extra support and looser at the bottom to accomodate for wider hips, so it highlights a pear shape. The brand's plus-size, high-support sports bras even come in bright colors that are normally hard to find in plus-size activewear.

Hard Tail

Show off your inner hippie in Hard Tail's lounge worthy tie-dye yoga pants or leggings. The tie-dye patterns in their plus-size collection compliment those that are larger on the bottom instead of drawing attention. Keep it simple on top with their signature slubby tees or flyaway cardigans for post-Pilates class or just for movie night in. The soft, ultra-cozy pieces are difficult to find, but we tracked them down at Nordstrom.

Land's End

Land's End has done a complete reboot of their activewear offerings, bringing more performance tech to the game, including antimicrobial fabrics that combat odor, hidden control mesh that smoothes your shape, and four-way stretch. And their plus-size line has some of the most technical fabrics available in the plus-size market. The workout clothes maintain the brand's signature low profile, so you can wear them literally everywhere without screaming "Hey guys, I'm going to work out!"

Zella for Nordstrom

Nordstrom's exclusive workout line, Zella, calls their leggings and capris 'Live In' for a reason—whether you're at bootcamp, running errands, or meeting girlfriends for brunch, you won't want to take them off! Flattering patterns in their plus-size collection also let you wear crazy patterned tights without drawing attention to thicker thighs and a full booty. Stand-out plus-size jackets, sweatshirts and cardigans for to and from class will make you look like a total gym rockstar, as witnessed above. (Seriously, we're going to have to add that model to our list of Plus-Size Models We'd Love to See Become Victoria's Secret Angels.)

C9 Champion for Target

Target is the place to go to stock up on workout basics for all sizes—their exclusive C9 Champion collection features breezy sweat-wicking tanks, tees, and leggings that are super affordable, high-quality, and come in a range of colors.  But the plus-size offerings from C9 are especially awesome. The apparel is pecifically tailored to fit curvier gals, with shorts hemlines that are a little longer than standard sizes to give you more coverage and prevent chafing, and leggings that sit higher on the waist so you won't get the dreaded muffin-top.
