The week before semifinals one star is sent home on her birthday in this week’s double elimination

Last night's Dancing with the Stars double elimination was quite the roller coaster but in the end, it looks like the right dancers came out on top! To kick off the night Donald Driver did an encore performance of his high energy jive with partner Peta Murgatroyd and Karina Smirnoff before learning that he is the first contestant moving on to the DWTS season 14 semifinals. So far so good.

Next, up Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas learn that they are in jeopardy. Following one slip-up Monday night (scoring her first eight in two weeks) after being at the top of the leader board all season, I am shocked to find Katherine in the bottom two. Luckily, the powers that be over at Dancing with the Stars heard my request for more shirtless Mark Ballas training Muay Thai and indulged with a clip during this week's hilarious Dance Center segment. Thank you! Scroll down for the hilarious and hot video (shirtless-ness happens at 1:30).

Roshon Fegan is the next star under scrutiny on Dance Center and he is the first of the evening to be eliminated. Partner Chelsie Hightower says she is happy to end on a high note and I agree. Roshon was one of the most improved dancers and held his own better then I ever expected. I'm sad to see the 20-year-old Disney star go home but with the level of dancing in this competition it was the right choice.

William Levy, who's stated occupation on Dance Center is "hot guy," is immediately declared safe. No surprise there! So it's down to the most injured dancer on season 14 Dancing with the Stars, Maria Menounos, and Melissa Gilbert, who came on the show with a preexisting back injury. Despite a not-so-good samba from Maria, it's Melissa, who has struggled all season is in jeopardy.

At this point a very nervous Katherine and Melissa await there fate and you just have to know who is going home. Sadly, on her birthday, Melissa learns she is not moving on to the DWTS semifinals. Host Tom Bergeron empathizes saying, "this is not the best way to spend a birthday," but Melissa responds, "No, this is great." She's thrilled to have made it as far as she did in the competition (plus, she got to dance in a Chmerkovskiy sandwich last night! How could she complain?). Partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy ends by saying it was an honor to have met Melissa and he wishes he could have given her a better birthday.

I think America "got it right." Do you agree? Who do you think will be the first eliminated from the season 14 Dancing with the Stars semifinals? They are all so good at this point, I don't want to see anyone go home!
