Did you know that taking note of what you are grateful for and going out of your way to thank the people in your life can improve your mental and physical health? Yep, it's true. (Here are five ways gratitude can boost your health.)

Ready to give gratitude a try, but not sure where to start? In this video, yogi Julie Montagu, The Flexi Foodie, will guide you through a few simple steps you can take to be more grateful and optimistic each day. You don't need to settle in for a full meditation sesh or carve out extra time in your day to do it; it'll take just one minute to stop, think, and let the feelings of gratitude wash over you.

Morning Gratitude Exercise: As soon as you wake up, take a moment to wake properly and then focus your mind on finding just five things that you are grateful for. List these things in your mind and then go back to the beginning of the list and visualize each of these things one at a time.
