Their motto is: "We don't judge; we deliver."
There are some things you just don't want to wait for: your morning coffee, the subway, the next episode of Game of Thrones... Another thing you want ASAP when you need it? Condoms.
That's why delivery service app goPuff delivers products like condoms, Plan B (the morning-after pill), and even pregnancy tests in 30 minutes or less. "We felt that there was a need for items like these to be delivered, especially late at night," explain founders Rafael Ilishayev and Yakir Gola. It's true that depending on where you live, you might not be able to get condoms when you need them—like at 3 a.m. (They're not the only ones who think easy access to emergency contraception is crucial; UC Davis now has a Plan B vending machine.)
The company also delivers all kinds of snacks, drinks, and other convenience store items late into the night in many cities nationwide (check out their site for a full list of service areas and delivery windows). They've been delivering condoms and Plan B for a while now. But in today's political climate, they feel it's more important than ever to offer these types of products to people who might not be able to get them otherwise.
"GoPuff's mantra is that 'we don't judge; we deliver,'" the founders say. "Our goal is to be the ultimate convenience service and deliver people what they need and when they need it—whether it's condoms and Plan B or six pints of ice cream."
This isn't only for people who just don't feel like going to the store—goPuff delivers to many areas where 24-hour convenience stores are hard to come by, like State College, PA, and Syracuse, NY, which means goPuff is helping people get the safe sex items they need faster than they'd be able to otherwise.
The abortion rate is currently the lowest it's been since Roe v. Wade—and experts say making birth control readily available to anyone who needs it will help keep it that way.
