You Told Us: Brittany of Eating Bird Food
After reaching a healthy weight in college through exercise and healthy eating, I felt alive – full of energy, happy and confident. I realized that this was the lifestyle I wanted to live forever. Soon after, I stared searching for a way to share with others that eating healthy and working out don't have to be daunting or difficult.
This journey led me to start writing Eating Bird Food. I had no idea how popular it would become and that I would still be blogging three years later. It has turned into my creative outlet - a place for me to share my passion and help to inspire others.
I am often asked how to get started with losing weight, and what I like to tell people is that we all have to start somewhere. The biggest factor is being motivated to take the first step. Weight gain doesn't happen overnight, and weight loss shouldn't either. Getting healthy takes small changes that add up to larger changes and it's often a long process, but it's one that will never get going until you get started.
I've found that being prepared by having healthy foods, like fresh fruits and veggies, lean protein, healthy fats, and whole grain carbs on hand at all times is the best way to stay on track with eating healthy. And finding activities that you enjoy is the key to taking the "work" out of workouts.
