During the time I was working for Sex and the City, one of my favorite things to do was to meet up with friends and drink a few Cosmos, just like the characters I was writing about. But at over 200 calories in just one glass, that cocktail didn't really fit into my new, healthier lifestyle. So how could I enjoy a night out with the girls without undoing my diet? Easily, according to my nutritionist, Ashley Koff, R.D. She told me I didn't need to give up alcohol altogether—I just need to make smarter choices. For example, replacing that sugar-laden Cosmo with a vodka and soda or switching out my regular beer for a light one can save a lot of calories. Ordering the right way when I'm out on the town means I can have a great time—and look hot doing it!
