The Secret Affordable Pick-Me-Up I Use for Seriously Hydrated Skin
Whenever I'm looking to rejuvenate my dry skin, I always have the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Face Mask on hand. Read my review on why this mask is worth trying.
The Best Face Mask for Dry Skin
Do you ever have those days when you wake up, look in the mirror, and can only see unwanted dry patches on your face? Simply put, this is classified as winter skin. Between the chilly winds and lack of moisture in the air, it's pretty hard to keep your complexion properly hydrated. My quick solution? This Neutrogena Hydro Boost Face Mask.
While you could spend hundreds of dollars on buzzy skin-care products, I'm always searching for affordable alternatives that work just as well. One day when I really needed an extra boost of hydration but didn't want to spend a ton of money, I did a quick Google search for the best hydrating face masks and after reading many reviews, declared a winner—Neutrogena Hydro Boost. Since the less than $3 price tag was so affordable, I wasn't too worried if it didn't actually work out, but I still had high hopes.
Before applying the mask, I used my favorite face cleanser (Best Face Forward) and gently patted my face clean with a towel. Then I removed the face mask from its packaging to find it was in two sections: one part for around your eyes and forehead and one for around your mouth and chin. I found this design to be super functional compared to previous masks I'd tried because I was able to adjust it as needed. Another effective feature of the mask? One side had a hydrogel texture (equal in strength to an entire bottle of serum!) and the other side was dry, making the mask easy to handle.
Once I applied the mask comfortably, I set a timer for 30 minutes (as suggested by the directions), headed to my living room, and watched my favorite YouTuber on my laptop. When the time was up, I removed the mask, massaged the remaining serum into my face and neck, and applied my tried-and-true face lotion. I instantly noticed my complexion felt much more moisturized, making my skin look radiant and feel smooth, like it does during the warmer months.
From the much-needed boost of hydration and the innovative design to the renewal of my natural glow, this face mask was an absolute winner in my book. Plus, I really enjoyed how long I was able to leave the mask on, allowing me to sit back and relax for awhile, opposed to having to wash the mask off as soon as I settle down and get comfy. If you're looking to bring your skin back to life for less, I highly recommend this under-$3 face mask.
