Ashley Graham is about to become a mom! She announced on Instagram that she's expecting her first child with her husband, Justin Ervin.

"Nine years ago today, I married the love of my life," Graham wrote in her post. "It has been the best journey with my favorite person in the world! Today, we are feeling so blessed, grateful and excited to celebrate with our GROWING FAMILY! Happy anniversary, @mrjustinervin Life is about to get even better."

Graham's post was immediately flooded with comments congratulating the model. "I'm over here reaching for the Kleenex again....tears of JOY and LOVE," wrote Graham's trainer, Kira Stokes. "MAZEL!!!! So happy for you both!!" wrote Katie Couric.

"I love you, babe. (And I love you, baby.)," Graham's husband commented on her post.

Graham's pregnancy announcement comes just a few months after she told Allure that the idea of having kids was "too far down the road" for her to even think about. (

But make no mistake: Graham has an excellent, thoughtful perspective on parenting. "I always tell parents that your words have power," she told us in a previous interview. "My mother never looked in the mirror and said negative things like 'I look so fat today,' which helped me develop a healthy personal body image as a young girl. It's important to set an example for young boys as well. I once had a high school boyfriend break up with me because he was afraid that I would grow up to be 'as fat as his mom.' Parents need to remember that their children are listening to and absorbing everything they say."

Plus, Graham's relationship with her own mom is nothing short of positive and healthy. In an interview with Tracee Ellis Ross for V Magazine, she talked about how her mother comforted her when she hit a low point in her career at 18 years old. "I was disgusted with myself and told my mom I was coming home. And she told me, 'No, you're not, because you told me that this was what you wanted and I know you're supposed to do this. It doesn't matter what you think about your body, because your body is supposed to change somebody's life.' To this day that sticks with me because I'm here today and I feel that it's okay to have cellulite," Graham shared. (

Sounds like Graham learned from the best when it comes to parenting. We can't wait to see her become a mom and pass on her incredible body-positive attitude to her child. Congrats, Ash!
