After being attacked by a man in Milan on Thursday, Gigi Hadid has taken to Twitter to defend herself.

Hadid was leaving the MaxMara show when Vitalii Sediuk, a notorious jerk known for harassing and assaulting celebrities, ran through the crowd and lifted her up. Although Hadid's sister Bella rushed to her defense, Hadid delivered a sharp blow to Sediuk's face with her elbow.

This is far from the first time Sediuk has tried to assault a celebrity: He made headlines in 2014 for trying to wrap himself around Brad Pitt's legs and hips at a screening of Maleficient, and he tried to look under America Ferrera's skirt at the Cannes Film Festival in 2014. While a few outlets have made light of the situation -- for example, British tabloid the Sun reported on the story by saying that Hadid "lashes out and elbows fan in the face after he tries to pick her up" -- most have rushed to Hadid's defense, saying that she was completely justified in her actions.

Hadid later tweeted about the Sun's headline:

Seriously, we couldn't have said it better ourselves. Newsflash: Grabbing a strange person and manhandling them isn't a funny prank, it's assault, and it needs to stop.
