While talking to my life coach, Lauren Zander, yesterday, I couldn't hide how bummed I was. Sure, I had lost two pounds last week, but I'd also made a lot of mistakes: I'd eaten a few too many fries, skipped a workout, and hadn't made a single entry in my food journal. I know I could have lost more weight if I'd been a little more dedicated. In response, Lauren said to focus on all of the things I had accomplished instead of dwelling on what I did wrong. I should be proud of the five times I'd made it to the gym, the three lunches where I resisted the cheeseburger, and the fact that the scale still moved in the right direction. Lauren reminded me that no one can be perfect all of the time-I just had to celebrate the times I came pretty close.
