Experts say that a positive attitude is one of the most powerful (and under-used) tools in our get-healthy arsenal. So here are a few goals to help you visualize your success in 2013. Now, repeat after me: "I will lose weight this year because... "

I will swap my cardio workout for strength training once a week.

I will finally cash in on those fitness Groupons.

I will eat a vegetable at every meal. (And I won't count pizza sauce!)

I will leave soda, juice, and other sweetened drinks on the store shelves.

I will get 7-8 hours of uninterrupted sleep most nights.

I will take 5 minutes every morning to meditate and think about what I am grateful for.

I will crank my music and have a dance break at least once a day. (Once a week will do, but daily is better for overall happiness.)

I will eat when I'm hungry. And I'll enjoy it.

I will replace "tomorrow" with "right now."

I will try Zumba, rock climbing, or some other activity I've been dying to do this month.

I will sign up to run or walk a race. And find a friend to do it with me.

I will drink a big glass of water. Yes, right now.

I will eat breakfast and make sure it has some protein. If people stare at my oatmeal topped with an egg it's because they wish they'd thought of it.

I will remember that good health is about more than the number on the scale.

I will do my best. And I won't beat myself up when I'm not perfect.
