Eating right and exercising has made most of my meds obsolete!

I am living proof that a healthy diet and exercise program can sometimes cure your ailments better than a pill. For years I've taken medicine daily for acid reflux, IBS, and migraines-I just figured it was something I had to do to stay healthy. But then I started treating my body better by eating well and exercising. As if by magic, my symptoms started vanishing. It took some time to figure out exactly what I needed to do to feel my best. For example, if I wait too long to eat, my digestive system goes completely haywire and makes my IBS and acid reflux flare up. So I make sure to keep emergency snacks in my purse or a cooler stashed in my car. That way, if tutoring runs long, I can grab some fruit from my cooler or a bag of nuts to munch on in traffic on the way home. My husband loves this habit too, since that means there's also a snack for him in my purse (helping him make it through a few more aisles at Lowe's when we're out buying supplies for our home improvement projects).
