Whitney had me come back to her pool this week since the weather has really gotten warm. After going over the technique for freestyle again, she had me get my heart rate up by swimming laps without stopping. Then I hopped out of the water and onto a padded mat where I did the plank, some butt lifts, and a modified Russian twist (while seated on the mat, lift your bent legs off the ground and punch in the air from side to side). After that it was back into the water for more laps. We did this sequence two more times and then took a short break in the Jacuzzi to stretch out. I feel like I made a huge improvement over the last time and love that now I can do cardio and strength training all around the pool. Hoorah for summer!
