Since starting this journey, I've been pretty diligent about keeping only healthy food in the house. But lately those banned items have made their way back into my kitchen. The last time I looked, I saw three bags of leftover potato chips that a neighbor brought for a recent backyard BBQ, half of a cheesecake in the fridge (remains from a recent birthday party), and a bunch of my son's Easter candy (we stashed it away in hopes he'd forget about it). After snacking on one too many peanut butter cups, I decided it was time to make a clean sweep. So I sent the chips to my husband's office and threw everything else away. As much as I hate to waste food, having this junk in our house wasn't good for any of us.
