A smarter way to stall
I'm typically writing several articles at once, and it can be hard to make myself start working on them right away. It seems like I need a tight deadline for my adrenaline to kick in and the words to flow. Unfortunately, my number-one procrastination tactic is to eat. But lately I've been trying to turn over a new leaf. I still like to put off my assignments, but instead of snacking, I've been taking a walk, chatting with a friend on the phone, or tackling a smaller project. Then, when I'm finally ready to sit down in front of my computer, I don't have to worry about how many calories I just consumed.
