I did a major closet clean-out a while ago and got rid of everything that didn't fit me anymore. But as a result, I've had a hard time finding something to wear. It was starting to get me down, so I put together a list of the items I needed to round out my wardrobe: a pair of nice black pants that were tailored perfectly, fitted blazers, and cardigans for work; jeans and soft sweaters for weekends; and a classic wool pea coat and knee-high boots for everyday wear. To boost my shopping budget, I brought some of the larger-size designer pieces that I was still hanging onto to a consignment store. It will take some time to build up a solid wardrobe again, but with each new piece I add I feel like I'm investing in myself-and my happiness.
